Light ourselves up this new year

I have something new to share with everyone of you. We all know that why we celebrate Diwali and why Diwali is such a big festival in our country (India). For all those who are not aware let me summarize it for you. On Dussehra Lord Rama killed Ravana. From that day they began their journey back to Ayodhya which is currently located in Faizabad district of Uttar Pradesh. You might image with no transport being available in that era its take a great amount time to reach ayodhya from Lanka. So it was exactly Diwali when Lord Rama returned to his home town. Rama is considered as God in hindu religion but as we all know he was also the king of ayodhya. People lightened lamps on diwali in order to welcome Lord Rama, Sita Mata and Laksmana. We celebrate Diwali with great joy as a arrival of new year for us whether we belong to any religion but Do we really think we follow any of the characteristics Lord Rama had ? Even a single one!

If you look back at that point of time and go through the difficulties times which lord Rama has passed you will be amazed by it.

Rama was considered to be the next king while is father was ruling the kingdom but due to politics he had to leave the kingdow and live his life as a common man in woods for 14 years. He accepeted all those condition without even thinking for a single minute. In Woods this wife got kidnapped. He had to fight a war to bring her back. Just because of belonging to a royal family he had to sacrifice her wife who was considered impuried by the people living in his kingdom due to being in ravana’s captivity for some time as she was not able to accept what people think for her she had to go back to mother Earth from where she came. Not even during single one of them you see Lord rama being in Anger or having any of the negative characteristic which a normal man would have possessed. This shows how great he was and what kind of mindset Lord Rama has. Even if a single incident among all of them would have occured to us we would have turned the world upside down.

If we look back at our lives and see where we stand we would realise we possess all the bad properties which we should not. From the school itself are living in a world of jealously. We are filled with hatred, cunning, jealously, greed, anger, arrogance and what not. At our work environment we are always looking to cut other legs rather than working as a team and coming up as a whole. We always wait for other to commit mistake and make a mess for them moving forward. I have few people without whom I work in close team in US. What they think for us is that we never work in team that is the reason we never come up in life. Western world works an ant army always working in groups to achieve something. Is this something we want to set an example to the entire world that we belong to the country where Great Lord Ram and Site Mata belong to. Just try to think in positive way and lets all of us learn something from Lord Rama and make this diwali and a new year special for our country such that no hatred, no bloodshed, no jealously is left behind and we return back to the era where great kings, god and goddess were born to.
